Seeing snow for the first time!

Winston's brother and his family came to visit us right after Christmas. The kids had never seen snow before and they were so excited. We had the best time with them. We went sledding, ice skating, and we even went skiing a couple days. Aren't these the cutest pictures of my nieces and nephew.

Christmas Morning

We actually kind of slept in on Christmas morning. I guess we are too old to get excited about opening gifts..... especially when it's just the two of us! We did have a good time though.


I got this beautiful vase from my mother-in-law. I love it.

Christmas Eve 2007

We stayed home for Christmas this year. It was our first Christmas without any members of our family. BUT...we weren't alone. Marc and Jennie Berry came with their two little boys from The Woodlands and spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with us. Jennie's family had a family reunion up at Estes Park and so they came in a couple days early to spend some time with us.
It was so fun to see them.


On Christmas Eve we went to Michelle and Joe Tortorici's. They are friends of ours from Texas and moved to Castle Rock this summer. They are actually the ones that set Winston and me up on a blind date. We had a great time - Michelle had spent 2 straight days cooking tons of food - it was fabulous. I swear I gained 5 lbs that night. So, we ate and played games for a couple hours and then ate some more!
